Padel Court Maintenance: A Practical Checklist
A padel court sees a lot of use in a small space. A little regular care keeps it playing well and protects your warranty. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for your court. This is the general routine we recommend.
Every day or after play
- Walk the court and remove leaves, balls and debris.
- Check that the doors close and latch properly.
- Look for anything loose, such as clips or rattling panels.
Every week
- Turf. Brush the turf to keep the sand infill level and the fibers upright. Sand collects in the high-traffic zones, so spread it back evenly.
- Drainage. Check that water leaves the court and nothing blocks the drains.
- Net and lines. Look for wear, and check that the net is tensioned and secure.
Every month
- Glass. Clean with a non-abrasive glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Check edges and corners for chips. A chipped panel should be reported and replaced. See padel court glass.
- Mesh and frame. Check the mesh for damage, and the frame and paint for rust or scratches. Touch up small marks before they spread.
- Hardware. Look at clips, gaskets, hinges and fasteners and tighten what has loosened.
- Lighting. Check that all fixtures work, are aimed correctly and are clean. See lighting requirements.
Each season and after storms
- After heavy wind or storms, inspect glass, anchors and any cover before reopening the court.
- Before the busy season, do a full check of structure, anchors, doors, lights and drainage.
- In hot, sunny states, check the turf for sun wear and consider shade or a court cover.
- In snowy states, clear snow from the playing surface carefully, without scraping the turf, and check covers for snow load.
Keep records
Write down inspection dates, repairs and any damage with photos. Records help when you need a replacement part or a warranty answer. Keep the court's drawings and certificates somewhere you can find them.
When to call for help
Call your supplier if you see a cracked or chipped panel, a loose anchor, a bent frame or a failing light. Do not keep playing on a damaged court. We support the courts we supply, so contact us.
